Dr. Lanaville is a Clinical Psychologist, licensed in Virginia and North Carolina. She provides forensic and clinical psychological assessment, and court services, and disability evaluations for military service members. She is rostered through University of North Carolina as a Child Forensic Assessor in suspected child abuse cases, as well as a Child/Family Evaluator. Dr. Lanaville has completed training through University of Virginia ILPPP to provide Competency to Stand Trial (CST), Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI), and Mental Status at Time of Offense (MSTO) evaluations for adults. Additionally, she is pursuing upcoming training for the juvenile version of that certification as well as assessing Sexually Violent Predators (SVP). Dr. Lanaville conducts risk/needs assessments, forensic interviewing, parental capacity evaluations, and trauma assessment.

Dr. Lanaville’s Clinical Psychology doctorate was completed at Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California, an American Psychological Association accredited program. The focus of her education and Internship was clinical/forensic psychology. For the past 22 years, Dr. Lanaville’s work experience has included law enforcement, assessment, and individual/group treatment. Her experiences span the criminal justice/psychology fields with probation/parole, court testimony, evaluations, individual/group treatment, and rehabilitation. She is dedicated to assisting people who want to improve their lives, she is passionate about public safety for the court system, and she is a huge fan of diversity!
