Dr. Brittany Montes earned her Psy. D. In Clinical Psychology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. She completed an APA-accredited internship program at Central Regional Hospital in collaboration with the University of North Carolina in North Carolina in 2013. She has also worked at Eastern State Hospital with patients suffering from complex medical and psychiatric disorders. Additionally, Dr. Montes has worked as a clinical psychologist in private practice treating chronic pain and complex trauma. She predominately uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior therapy for the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mood disorders. As the spouse of a retired Navy Seal, she has a deep understanding of the challenges military families in the Hampton roads area face on a daily basis
